which is nicer to travel through? Montana and n. dakota, or wyoming and s. dakota?

This is kind of a toss-up. I think South Dakota is more interesting than North Dakota and Montana is more interesting than Wyoming.

All things considered, I guess I’d suggest the more southern route. Once you start getting into the mountains, there is no bad route to take. It’s all incredibly beautiful.

They do both have long stretches of nothing and then very beautiful areas. I would suggest going out the southern route and home the northern route. I worked at Glacier National Park a couple of summers and that is what I did every year. It’s the best of both worlds.

    Definitely Wyoming and S. Dak.

The Black Hill are awesome. Badlands are kind of neat. And there are just several nicer cities to stop at along the way.

    North Dakota is Barren.
